Music. Back to My Roots.

It's been a long time since I have gone into a studio and recorded something that's mine. I have two songs under my purevolume.com profile, but they are old and don't show how I have grown as a writer and a singer. I recently got a gig working in a studio by my girlfriend's house. O.H.N. Entertainment. Good group of guys. The studio only has some hip hop artists under their belts but I plan to double the catalog with my own music, and some friends. I miss making music and playing shows and touring. As much of a pain in the ass as it was, it was still some of the coolest moments of my life.

I think its about time I step into the spotlight, and shine along side my friends.

Its time to rock!

P.S: Sorry, but no fancy pictures this time around!

Super Heroes in need of good work!

The day is Friday and the event is simple. Today Captain America comes out in theaters . Besides how large of an iconic super he is, this is also the first time I've been excited for a super hero movie since the very first Spiderman remake came out. I mean, I can't believe all these comic book icons are hitting the mainstream. I love it! I don't know much about the movie or what they did as far as the story line goes, but I am very interested in watching it. I'll keep you posted on my thoughts.
On another subject (yet similar) I started scripting my comic book series out yesterday. I had already made a rough draft a few months go but since I don't seem to be getting an artist for the job I might as well start writing and pitch it to someone.
The story is simple and fun. Adventures in every corner of our world and the video game world. Like "Tron" meets "Scot Pilgrim" . Two normal video game nerds who use their skills to get them through this intense realm without death catching up.

Again if anyone is interested let me know. I need an artist/ partner. It's all 50/ 50 work. Lets make a new series of comic books!

Make'em how you want'em. Not how God made'em

Over the course of the past 3 weeks my girlfriend has been getting into some arts and craft adventures. She bought loads of a material you all know called "Felt" and some embroidery string. Whats basically going on is I draw her (I have no drawing experience) some odd looking cartoon creature things and she turns them into stuffed animals! It's pretty nifty and could defiantly become her gig. Besides her amazing clean sleek make-up styling (which she does do every now and again for clients), she is now getting into the business of making stuffed animals. Not too bad, not too bad.

Usually I don't like these underground toy makers or custom cartoonist, even the ever so popular anime cartoon sticker creators. Not really my cup of tea (my cup of tea is Twinning' Irish Breakfast Tea). But I am in love with this idea of weird faulty looking creatures being made with multi-colored fabric and odd shaped bodies. I don't like the idea just because it's my girlfriend making them, but even more so because these creatures are imperfect. They are their own species. Its awesome! Something new and different. I'm happy to say I'm proud of her and her little monster creations.

Another cool adventure that I myself have been on for a while now is making my own custom cartoon comic book. Yep, I went there. Old School status. Comic books. The wonderful graphic novels created for children by the young souls of very old children. Its something that's timeless. Pure adventure. Loads of wonderful fun. Comic books have always lifted my heart and calmed my soul.

I've been talking to a very good friend of mine who would be the perfect illustrator/ cartoonist, but he seems to be busy. I previously used one of his sketches in my last entry.

If anyone out there has a portfolio with all their artwork in it I would LOVE to see it. I'd be interested in working with anyone who's just as excited about this project as I am.

With all that being said I say "Till tomorrow!"

Have a good one.

Miami Florida: The worlds worst work force...

So we all know that in this day and age, jobs are getting harder and harder to find. I must confess that I am the type of person to get a job and then bail on it because a manager or assistant manager spoke to me with the wrong tone and said things the wrong way. Guilty!
Excuse me for standing up for myself in a world where NO ONE stands up for themselves or anything for that matter. Excuse me for thinking that people who are "LEADERS" should lead by example. The world must change and the time is now.

After surfing the web for months looking for a job I realized that online applications never get you call backs; and every time I approach a manager of a store that I applied to, they seem to be confused as to who checks online applications. In fact, they seem to be thoroughly confused as to what an "Online Application" is! Seriously!? What the F$#*!? How did you get that job!? How many dicks and cum to the throat did you take to get there? Not that I'm interested but I would like to know how big of a pussy I'm actually dealing with.

Today I went to a Sears Home Appliance store that had a "Help Wanted" sign on the front window. After my application was filled out I was approached by the manager. He proceeded to explain to me how he was only hiring someone who would be Part time, Non-Paid, Commission only.
Obviously this statement or even more so "demand" confused me. But I didn't react. It was the strangest thing I have ever heard. Was it possible, at that very moment I became so enraged and so angry that my body shut down? I couldn't react. I know I was upset but I couldn't do or say anything. Its as if my body went into shock.

I drove home in silence. Trying to understand what just happened. Tired hungry and confused; I felt a bit warm so I tried to turn the A/C on in my car. "What's this?" I asked myself. "Why is the air coming out so hot? Oh, that's right! I have a piece of shit car that can't even provide me with cold air!"
Now some of you might read this and think "Wow dude. Cold air in your car? Roll the windows down you baby" No! Shut the F$#@ up! Read the title. If you know where Miami, FL is then you would know that its basically an over grown and populated city, built over a swamp. It is hot, and muggy, and even hotter than I previously stated.

After my arrival I stayed in the car for about three minutes. I couldn't feel heat, Nor anger. I was just there. I had gone into shock again. "Non-paid, commission only, part time? What the fuck is that? This is slavery, is it not? Maybe not 100% but its pretty damn close. The big money balers in this country need to realize that things aren't going to get better until they stop taking advantage and start being fair.

When the money runs out they'll have nothing.
When their money runs out I'll watch them starve.
When the money runs out you see people for what they really are.
You're not going to like what you see, this I could guarantee.
